The EHS/CTE Library is seeking student volunteers interested in helping staff a booth at the Essex Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, September 30 in the Essex Jct. Village. The booth will include robots, button-making, and other activities. Interested students can sign up by emailing email@example.com or stopping by the library to sign up in person.
Summer vacation is almost here! School will be out, but the makerspace will be open.
Here are some cool summer resources to explore.
Teen Tech Week is right around the corner. Activities will be starting the Wednesday we get back from break (3/8). We have tons of drop-in events (see calendar below) and remember to sign up for the library for flex block to experience Breakout EDU! Adam will be teaching an Arduino workshop for beginners on Thursday afternoon, so just stop on by if you are interested in learning or if you want to improve your skills. We hope to see you there!

The Environmental Club is going to be hosting two “Up-Cycled Bird Feeder” sessions for students on Thursday 5/12 and Friday 5/13 in the Library’s Makerspace. Students are asked to bring in an empty plastic bottle or plastic jar. We’ll supply other materials (minus the birdseed!).
Students may sign up during Advisory on Wednesday 5/11.

There will be a new art display for our reading nook art gallery in the next few weeks and we need YOUR help! We will be adding nature themed artwork created in the makerspace to sheets of muslin fabric for a cool, multimedia art display. Here is what the space looks like when we do not have art hanging on the walls…
