3D Printer

The EHS/CTE makerspace has two 3D printers. Students have been using the Ultimaker 2 and Ultimaker 2+ for various school assignments and for fun, and we will show off their projects on this blog.

Collaboration and problem solving are a huge part of being a maker, so we hope that you will benefit by learning from their experiences (both positive AND negative). Seeing other 3D projects can be inspiring!

We do stress that if you will be making a 3D print that you take the time to design your own authentic project as the act of designing is a huge component of printing and a great learning experience.

Some free online programs to try:

Tinkercad

SketchUp

Please make sure to save your files using .STL

Come and meet Sherlock and Watson today! …yes we have named the 3D printers…
