Portrait of a Maker: Christie

Christie S. is a library administrative assistant here at the EHS/CTE library. She loves making things, playing outside, and her pets. 

Makerspace: What are your favorite makerspace activities?

Christie: Knitting, embroidery, and learning about new tech mediums.

Makerspace: What inspires you?

Christie: Color, sheep, mountains, and seeing people excited about their projects and learning new things.

Makerspace: What are you currently working on?

Christie: Knitting a slouchy hat out of merino wool, bamboo, donegal, and baby llama. Christie used this Elfin Tweed yarn in the color “Lagoon”!

Makerspace:  What would you like to learn next?

Christie: I really want to beef up my 3D printing and modeling skills to build on the class I just took at Generator in Burlington.

Makerspace: Any advice for newbie makers?

Christie: Just do it! See problems or obstacles as opportunities for solutions.
