Weekend Maker Inspiration

We are so lucky that the makerspace is in the library and has such an amazing view out over the snow-covered winter wonderland that we are currently experiencing here in Vermont. The library has so many windows that it is hard not to feel like you are sitting in a tree house in a whimsical snowflake-covered forest. Nature provides great inspiration this time of year. You could knit hats, scarves, or mittens to stay warm. You could try sketching the scenery, making flannel pillows, or even use Arduino to make LEDs light up and twinkle. Try this website here to learn more about LEDs!

You could take photos and create a winter scrapbook, or just enjoy sitting inside and crafting in our space while listening to an audio book! Right now we are enjoying Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and The Hobbit.

“This world is but a canvas to our imaginations.”- Henry David Thoreau
